VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct 13, 2015 – meowbox, a Vancouver-based company offering a monthly subscription box of goodies for cats, pitch their feline-focused business on the hit T.V. show, Dragons’ Den. Here, entrepreneurs get the opportunity of a lifetime to pitch their business to a panel of wealthy celebrity investors. One of the most successful Canadian reality programs, Dragons’ Den averaged nearly one million viewers each week during the 2014/15 season, reaching one-third of all Canadians. “I was nervous and excited in the days leading up to the big pitch,” said meowbox CEO, Olivia Canlas, “but as soon as the cameras started rolling, I knew we had prepared as best as we could. You can’t fake knowing the ins and outs of your own business.”
Although the episode was taped almost six months ago, co-founders Olivia Canlas and Francois Deschenes have been sworn to secrecy until the big reveal tomorrow night. They invite local media to join the meowbox friends and family, upstairs at Mahony & Sons Stamps Landing on October 14th, 2015, at 6:30 pm. There we will find out if the Dragons think this is the purrfect deal or a business that should be buried in the litter box.
