For every meowbox sold, meowbox donates a can of cat food, or monetary equivalent to a shelter or rescue. This month, we donated to the Animal Rescue Network (Reseau Secours Animal) in Montréal, Quebec.
The Animal Rescue Network (Reseau Secours Animal, or RSA) was founded in 1994 by former members of the SPCA. What began as a shelter caring for abandoned, injured and abused animals eventually expanded into a community-based network of feline foster homes throughout Montreal and surrounding areas. The volunteer-run organization also offers affordable and accessible spay/neuter services to pet owners.
The RSA follows a no-kill policy, only turning to euthanasia in cases of incurable illness. It is currently the largest no-kill shelter in Montréal.
