Announcing meowfest 2018!

Published by

Whether it’s our subscribers, the animal non-profits we work with, or our social media community, we at meowbox talk to a lot of cat lovers every day. We’ve always dreamed about physically bringing together these groups of people to bond over our adoration for kitties. This gathering in question would include a variety of fun activities: adorable cat-related paraphernalia for sale, fun workshops, delicious food (because let’s be real, a party isn’t a party without food), and of course, real cats. The true heart of the event would be to benefit felines in need and to unite those who share our passion for animal advocacy.

After many months of planning and discussing, our fantasies have finally come to fruition. On Sunday, July 29th, 2018, meowbox will be hosting meowfest, a cat-themed festival featuring local and international vendors, food pop-ups, keynote speakers, and adoptable kitties. Notable guests include our friends Hannah Shaw (Kitten Lady), Andrew Marttila (The Great Went Pet Photography), @nala_cat, @hello_luna_rose, and @benbencatcat. All event proceeds will be donated to the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BCSPCA).

If this doesn’t sound like the ultimate puurrty already, we will also be joined by a number of local food trucks, including Bandidas Taqueria, who will be dishing up yummy grub for the hungry humans.

Needless to say, we are beyond excited and honoured to be organizing Western Canada’s ultimate cat festival. We hope to see you there!

Regular updates, including ticket details, can be found on the meowfest page on Facebook as well as on the event page.

Businesses who are interested in participating in the event as vendors or sponsors can apply via meowfest.com.
