Transform an empty wall into a kitty jungle gym! To create a cat wall like this DIY by Simple Stylings, you can measure and cut your own shelves or purchase shelves from your local home improvement store.

T-shirt cat tent

We all know cats love enclosed spaces, but you don’t have to splurge on a fancy pet tent to make your kitty the happiest camper! Repurpose an old t-shirt into a cozy cat tent with just a few supplies you probably already have like wire hangers, cardboard, and tape. Learn how to make your own cat tent here.

Elevated feeder

STOLTHET bamboo cutting board, IKEA

Elevated bowls allow cats to eat and drink more comfortably, eliminating the need to crouch. Raised feeders can be pricey, but the good news is you can easily and cheaply make your own with any raised cutting board or serving tray, like the STOLTHET from IKEA. Secure kitty’s food and water bowls onto the tray using two short strips of transparent double-sided tape, providing just the right adhesive strength to keep the bowls secure while they eat or drink, while allowing easy removal for cleaning.

Framed scratcher

Scratchers serve as an important outlet for cats to express their emotions, maintain healthy claws, and enjoy a satisfying stretch. Plus, they help deter kitty from shredding your brand-new couch! A wall-mounted scratcher, like this one by HGTV save floor space and look like works of art.

Cat nook side table

There’s no such thing as having too many cat beds in your home. This DIY table by Lone Fox serves as both a functional piece of furniture and a cozy cat hideaway.

Window perch

Window perches fulfill your cat’s natural instinct to observe their environment and give them a taste of nature from the safety of home. This DIY window hammock by Hymns and Verses offers them a cute and comfy front seat to the great outdoors.

Cardboard play house

While your cat would probably be happy with any old box they can squeeze into, you can take a cardboard box to the next level by transforming it into an interactive play house—or, like this version by @moviusmakes, a flower shop! For additional enrichment, incorporate scratch-friendly materials, dangling ball toys and feathers, multiple levels and peek-a-boo cut-outs…the pawssibilities are endless!
